Call of duty alpine rangers set review

I got my second mega bloks CoD set today, the alpine rangers, this set includes 138 pieces a retails for £14.99. lets get the little things out of the way, the set includes a pretty standard and unremarkable structure, I know that it's going into my spare parts box. the se also includes a care package, which col in that you can store accessories in it, other than that its just a box, nothing too cool about it other than it's very nice and game accurate design. there is also 3 terrain pieces, which make nice display plates for your figures. but if you buy any of these figure sets, you buy them for the figures, so how are they?

the figures are really cool, the set includes 5 of them and as you can see I have them in a variety of poses. the figures have a very wide range of articulation for their size, including ball jointed heads and legs, hinge knees, swivel waists, and swivel hinge shoulders and elbows, and standing about 2 and a half inches tall. the figures come with a shit ton of accessories: 4 combat vests, 6 leg straps,4 combat knives, 2 backpacks, 2 binoculars, 1 flask, 1 torch, 2 grenades, 2 spare magazines, 5 guns, all with interchangeable parts, along with a scope and a suppresser, 4 explosives, 1 radio, 1 med kit and 1 shovel. when I said shit ton I meant it, and these accessories can all be held by and stored on the figures, thankfully. the figures are very nicely sculpted and where paint has been applied, the paint is very good too. the figures are made of white plastic, and all have coloured chips mixed in with the white, to give a cool camo effect, this effect is also on the guns and accessories.

all in all, these 5 mini figures are pretty cool, £14.99 may be a rip off, not counting the massive amount of accessories, but they would make a handsome addition to construction set collection, particularly the CoD sets, and maybe the halo sets if you want some mix up. these would also make fun additions to a kids lego collection, if he likes CoD or just likes little soldiers. you should consider picking these guys up, but not at their full retail price, maybe around sale time or when their price drops, then pick them up. see ya chumps.
